Over the course of my career, I’ve traveled the world producing stories and have won ten Emmy awards. I also raised two kids, launched a business, and did a heck of a lot of laundry too…
And, yet, despite all that, I’ve had this voice in my head telling me I’m not working hard enough. Or berating me for eating all those chips. Or reminding me of mistakes made years ago that others have long forgotten.
Just whose voice is that and why would it tell me such terrible stories?
I wrote “Fire Your Narrator!” to explore the most influential character in our story – the one that lives in our head.
You can’t create a great external story if you’re struggling with a faulty inner one.
